About Me

Hi, I’m Jordana — a Miami-based yoga instructor originally from New York.

My Background

Movement has always been a central part of my life. I grew up as a runner, competing in track and cross country throughout high school, which evolved from short distance into long distance over time. From there, I explored other forms of movement — including swimming, lifeguarding, strength training, and Lagree. I’ve always been drawn to movement, discipline, and pushing my body in different ways.

But when I found yoga, I knew it was different.

Unlike other forms of exercise, yoga offered something deeper — not just physical strength or endurance, but a sense of release, awareness, and connection. While other modalities oftentimes left me feeling sore or depleted, yoga left me feeling lighter, more open, and more in tune with my body. It became less about performance and more about presence.

I’ve been practicing yoga for over five years now, and I am a certified 200-hour yoga instructor. I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, which has shaped the way I understand people, energy, and connection.

Before stepping fully into the wellness space, I worked in mental healthcare, supporting large teams and focusing on creating positive, human-centered environments — an experience that continues to influence my teaching today.

I’ve had the opportunity to teach in both studio and hospitality settings, including leading sessions in hotel environments here in Miami. I work with individuals, couples, and groups, and I love creating experiences that feel both grounding and energizing.

My Teaching Style

My teaching is inspired by both vinyasa and ashtanga, blending structure with flow. I love guiding high-energy, music-driven classes that build heat and leave you feeling strong and accomplished, while also holding space for slower, restorative, and more trauma-informed practices that allow for release, softness, and deeper connection.

The feelings I’ve experienced through yoga — emotional release, increased flexibility, and the ability to let go of tension held in the body — are exactly what I hope to share with others. My intention is to help you tune in, listen to your body, and leave feeling more connected, open, and at ease.

Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs and goals. Whether you’re looking to build strength and mobility, improve flexibility, or simply slow down and de-stress, I create a practice that meets you where you are — balancing both challenge and ease in a way that feels supportive and aligned for you.

Outside of yoga, I’m also the co-founder of a music and media company, and creativity plays a big role in my life — whether through music, art, or movement. I’ve always had a deep interest in human psychology, spirituality, and personal growth, and I spend a lot of my time exploring these topics through reading, reflection, and curiosity about how we think, feel, and connect.
